ABOUT RICHARD S. PARK

Dr. Richard S. Park is an Associate Professor of Theology at Vanguard University where he directs the Honors Program. As a professor, his passion is to help his students discern their calling, develop Christ-like character, and deepen their cultural impact for the Kingdom. As a speaker, Dr. Park considers it a privilege to fulfill his calling by bringing theological insight to bear on everyday issues which face the body of Christ. As an author, Dr. Park seeks to contribute to a renaissance of culture by articulating truth, advocating goodness, and advancing beauty through everything from academic monographs to Christian living to children's books. 

Born and raised in southern California, Dr. Park is a graduate of UC Berkeley (BA), Biola University (MA), and the University of Oxford (DPhil). Dr. Park has spoken at churches, conferences, and colleges around the world and throughout the United States. Among his various publications, he has written on a Christian approach to engaging culture (The Visual Gospel) and on a theology of discerning one's calling (The Blueprint). His doctoral work at Oxford on Muslim-Christian relations was published by the University of Notre Dame Press (Constructing Civility). Currently, he is completing his first children's book (coming Fall 2024). Dr. Park lives with his wife Christine (m. 2010) and their son Rylen (b. 2019) in Orange County, California.
